Minecraft 1.3 Beta is Live!

Posted on Notch's blog, the largest Minecraft patch in quite awhile is now ready for download! Simply open your Minecraft client to automatically download the updates. The biggest in-game change is the addition of beds, which allow players to sleep until morning and skip nights, while the technical changes include a revamping of the save system, the implementation of the popular lighting engine created by modder MrMessiahs, and additional save slots. This is one of the biggest updates since the game went into Beta so the update server will be hammered for a few hours but keep trying! Go go go!
